Recipe Number 41 - Hannah’s Apple Pudding

Hannah’s Apple Pudding is a recipe based on the first, direct mention of food in the original Nancy Drew mystery series. Although Nancy is caught up in the excitement of her first case “The Secret of the Old Clock,” she still makes time for Hannah Gruen’s delicious desserts.

I’m very excited to begin my book-inspired recipes, starting at the very beginning with this 1930s classic. I know we’re all HUGE fans of the games but it’s always nice to remember the roots of the Drewniverse as well.

This recipe was a hit with my family and myself. It’s a lick-the-spoon, kitchen-smells-heavenly kinda recipe for sure. Basically, it’s Apple Crisp’s mushier, buttery-er cousin. Full of cinnamon, easy to make, and best served with a dollop of vanilla.

It may not be apple season but I could eat this dessert anytime :)
